Updated!! December Cara Box Reveal

I am so excited that I got to participate this month for my 2nd Cara Box, to get to involved visit Wifessionals!!  I found out December 1st that my husband and I had to move in two weeks, along with finishing finals and graduating!  But I accomplished it all and got my Cara box off without a hitch!!!  This month was different, as I sent my box to one girl and another sent to me!  So glad I got to know two new people, always fun!!  I sent my box to Brittney and loved getting to know her to include as much fun in the box as possible!  Jump on over to her blog and see what I sent!  I received my box from Tyler and I loved everything about it!  I am so sorry that I don't have pictures (did I mentioned I moved and it isn't found yet!!, shameful I know!) I had lots of sparkle in my box this time (the theme, of course)!  She sent me some ornaments for our tree, some magnets, and a few other things!  I will post an update with pictures, hopefully the hubs will find our camera today!  I wanted to get this post of there, but so sorry for no pictures!!!

Loves and Happy New Year!

Christmas is over??

I really love and look forward to Christmas every year!  This year has been crazy with finals, graduation, packing and moving.  But Thank the good Lord above that I am here to stay that I accomplished it all!  We had to be ready to host Christmas with my family on Sunday, and we were!  Don't mind the office not being completed, master bedroom and bath weren't done and we didn't have all our pictures hung, but goodness give a girl some slack!  We had places to sit, food to eat, and a kitchen to prepare it in!  I would say I did pretty darn good for a girl doing it most of it on her own.  My husband did an amazing job on his closet, you know because that's where people will sit while opening presents what makes him happy! 

I will do a house tour as soon as our pictures are hung, which will be there week.  We are having some family stay with us this weekend and then hosting one kick a$$ New Year's Eve party for all of our friends.  You know the other 6 couples that got married within 4 months of us....yeah we are awesome like that!  We absolutely love having such a close group of friends to share all of our excitment with!

I better get to work!  Hope you all had a blessed Christmas holiday!!!  Now, maybe you should get back to work too!

It's finals week....

I am in the midst of finals week, wish it was actually my last.  I was told 2 weeks into school that I was lacking 3 hours to actually complete my degree, I have enough to graduate so not enough to finish my Accounting degree.  Yeah, thanks OSU advisor!  NOT!  Mind you, I have had 2 degree audits and they missed that both times.  Sounds about right.  Well last night I had my Business Law final, which I rocked it's socks off!!  YES!  I leave at 12 today to finish studying for my final tonight at 6 then I have another one tomorrow night.  After tomorrow night, I will packing for a weekend in Stillwater, then home to move.

Our house is pretty much packed, the hubs has to finish the kitchen tonight and I need to put away the Christmas that we aren't taking over assembled. I am just ready for it all to be over!!!  I am super excited to see my family this weekend and share this exciting time.  I never thought I would graduate!!! But I am!!!

Oh Tuesday, can you be over?

So just wanted to update you guys on my last 48 hours!  The hubs and I were renting a house for a year to see if we liked the area and if we wanted to buy it (originally house was on the market/lease).  Well Saturday afternoon, we got a phone call from our Landlord saying that she had moved back to town and was going to stage a house on the market until our lease was up, but it sold that evening after she finished moving in.  Of course!  So she is offered us a HUGE discount to move out by Christmas so she only has to move once, and she doesn't want to sell her house anymore!  So we spent Sunday looking for either another house or would even settle for an apartment for a year until we are ready to buy.  We found a house, very close to my office and right by all the highways!!  We will get to start moving in the 16th, oh did I mention I walk at graduation the 15th? and have finals next week?  Yeah, because I am not busy enough, please add in packing and moving, along with my families Christmas is at our house.  So I just finished our Christmas decorations around the house, only to take them right back down!!!  SOOOOO FRUSTRATING!  I will make it through! Hopefully!!!  I might come down with shingles again, like I did three weeks before our wedding.  What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger right???  My husband has taken the lead in our family and I am so blessed to have such a wonderful man in my life!!

I better to started working for the day, it's Month End!  Oh to be an accountant.  Ugh!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

Well wouldn't you know, it's December 1st!!  Wow, time flies when you are having fun, er really busy!!  I thought I would give you guys a little taste of what the husband and I been up trying to make our house a Winter Wonderland.  I hope you think it is pretty and if you don't, well remember the saying "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."  I kid I kid, you all will love it.  I hope!  So Christmas is a big deal for me, I am always in such the Christmas spirit.  My husband, on the other hand, can get kinda Grinchy!  I usually do most of the shopping, all the packing, and all the wrapping.  I guess that is just how it goes....I will shut my mouth and let the picture do most of the talking!  I have to tell you where stuff is, okay!

Since the hubs and I are a strong house divided, one of bff's gave this to me for Christmas a couple years ago.  Cute, right?

Dining room tree is in leopard burlap with brown, black, and pearlish gold balls.  I just cut that burlap tree skirt and need to add the leopard deco mesh, that will happen next year!

Cara Box Exchange

I was so very excited to take part in the Cara Box Exchange in November!  If you don't know what it is, visit Kaitlyn and find out all about the fun!  So I was partnered up with Kristen and I truly think it was meant to be!!  Once we got our partners, I emailed Kristen to let her know I was her partner and would be emailing again to get all the information I wanted to collect to put together the "Childhood" box.  Let me just tell you, this was a blast!!!  I loved every minute of getting to know sweet Kristen and also getting to shop for the box!  I wanted to be creative and fun and get anything that would remind her of her childhood, I hope I achieved just that!  Well without further-a-do...

I received my box and was very eager to open!!

Look at all the loot.  She got me a pizza kit, red velvet cupcake mix, a blue necklace (blue is my favorite color) Operation band-aids (she looked for Monopoly but no dice)

I got lots of candy, some lip glosses and a Cinderella coloring page with Markers!

When we were emailing back and forth, we discovered how we both loved the Rugrats!!  So she found me some awesome party blowers!!!

I told Kristen I think we were made to be friends because we loved the same stuff and she was getting ready for a cruise on the Carnival Triumph!!!  The exact boat that my husband and I took on our honeymoon in June.  Seriously crazy!!  I am so glad we were partnered together because she is such a doll and writes an amazing blog...go check her out!!!  I can't wait for December's Cara Box Exchange!!

Happy Thursday!

Today I was hoping to have my Cara Box Exchange post, but I was too busy last night to sit down and get it done at home.  I will tonight, I promise!!  This week has been crazy busy, kinda strange since I just had a 4 1/2 day weekend!  I guess I needed the sleep and such that occured on Sunday instead of finishing the house with Christmas!  It is nice to say, that we have all but our Bedlam trees up!  That will happen this weekend, once I clean my crap school stuff up in the office.  I have lots of studying to do this weekend and next week in prep of finals.  My second to last set of finals, Thank the good Lord above!  It has been a long time coming and I am so ready to be done.  I will be walking in the December commencement ceremony, but actually finishing in May.  I didn't know about this until after I was already two weeks into school, advisor fail!  Oh boy oh boy!  Can't wait to be done!!  I finally updated Internet Explorer so now I can blog more at work, not that I should but I might try! haha 

Not much else to talk about, I will post the Cara Box tonight and tomorrow night probably post our Christmas decor around the house!

It's OK Thursday

....that I didn't do my hair today because the extra 20 minutes of sleep was way more worth it!!

....that I would rather go shopping on my lunch than actually eat

....that today was my "work Friday" so I did more actual work today than any other day of the week

....that I can't wait to get my hair done tomorrow, seriously I will be pretty (hair wise) once again!

....that I drank more at dinner than I ate because I was too busy talking to two great gals!

....that I bought more red deer for more Christmas decor, come on you can't really ever have too many Christmas decorations!


I hope ya'll had a great Thursday, I am off to snuggle with the husband and enjoy my sleeping in!  Fingers crossed it actually happens.  Just have to be up to drive to Stillwater for my hair appt at 11!

a weekend of rest!

well i didnt get to do much this weekend. my body was angry from being nonstop on the go and decided to come down with alittle sickness! so i rested friday night, missed snuggle time with my babies in stillwater and missed the game as well. i did do a little shopping with my mil and got a few new christmas decorations! i absolutely had to fight the urge to get our tubs and tubs and more tubs down of christmas decor. trust me when i say i think it is happening this weekend!  just a quick update from the phone, hence the little letters.

Monday Catchups

So sorry lovies that I have been MIA.  School has been a pain and so after working all day on the computer, then going to class, home to make dinner and spend time with the hubs...there isn't much time for blogging.  Well I am back (I HOPE)!! 

This weekend, my sister Jess and her sweet babies came to visit.  They came Friday night in the evening and we made some payday cupcakes...pure delishiness.  hahaha  Actually, we made them to take to my sweet bff that had a baby a couple weeks ago.  I have been making food and taking it to them so they aren't cooking.  It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy to do things for other people.  So I snuggled my munchkins all night until they had to go to sleepers.  Then Saturday morning, being the best Aunt in the world, I got up and made pumpkin french toast.  YUM.  Then we got around and went to the a craft fair, it was okay, nothing to really write home about.  Saturday evening, we went to said bff's house to take chicken and noddles, pumpkin french toast, fruit salad and payday cupcakes....in hopes of getting to hold PK.  Well we accomplished that real well!!!!  hahahaha 

Sunday was a very lazy day.  I didn't shower until about 3pm and we just laid around all day.  I did some homework while the hubs was at his football game.  Did I mention that I put a roast in the crockpot that morning to let it cook all day and I wanted to eat ALL.DAY.LONG because the house smelled so good.  And this is why I am a fattie.  But I love cooking and eating!  haha 

Anyways...I better get back to work.  I have to spend my lunch break at the dentist getting my pearlie whites cleaned and even whiter!  And I get alittle nose full of gas, awe these are the good times.

What my blog was built on...

O.M.G.  I am absolutely, unbelievably, over excited that TONIGHT begins my favorite season of all....FOOTBALL SEASON!  I am so pumped to leave work at 5 on Friday, drive as fast as the law will allow to God's Country...STILLWATER!!!  I am, however, ashamed to say that I haven't decorated for fall yet.  I know, I know, please don't judge me.  Let me explain!  You see I always decorate for fall, er football season in the middle of August for two reasons, one is that I am usually so excited to get all the orange around me and two is that school always starts the third week of August.  But this year is different!  I am now married and if you didn't know, my dear husband and I don't cheer for the same team.  He is, and I am ashamed to say, a Sooner fan.  The only thing that makes it okay is he is OU alum.  I still love him with all my heart, but can't possibly find it in my heart to decorate our lovely home with any crimson and cream.  Ewww Yuck!  So I am in a bit of a bind this year!!  I WILL decorate some of the house tonight after class, if I get my laundry done and bags packed, or it will wait until Sunday.  We do have some house divided decor that we will most likely put out in celebration of Football Season!  There is one day a year that we don't always say the nicest things to each other and that day is Saturday, November 24th!  It's Bedlam.  Our poor kids are always going to wonder why Daddy has to leave and live in an apartment for a week right after Thanksgiving, well that's because Daddy doesn't know how to be nice to Mommy's Cowboys.  hahaha  I kid, I kid....kinda!

Well that's alls I gots for you today.  You better bet your sweet rear-end I will be soaking up some cupcakes and tailgates this weekend!

TWO MONTHS...

We have been married for two WHOLE months today.  It might not seem like a lot of time, but in these two short months we have had some big obstacles.  We have had a couple disagreements, over stuff like my clothes being all over our master bedroom and not really being able to walk into my closet, and the biggest was my hubby losing his job almost a month ago.  So here we sit, at 60 days and I don't regret a thing.  We will get through these hard times and probably have harder ones...like when we have kids and such and we will look back and laugh.  I love my husband to death!

School blah

Today I sit here, just 4 days away from starting my LAST semester in school.  While I am very excited for graduation, I mean I am 30, I hate being away from my house at night.  I have thoughly enjoyed my summer off, first time since I started back.  I don't look forward to anything except being done.  So next Sunday, I will have my bag packed, outfit picked out and in bed by 10....I have to be at work at 7am and a girl needs her beauty sleep.     I will leave my husband sleeping oh so nicely in bed and try not to cuss him while running out the door trying not to be late. Oh geez, I am already tired! hahaha 

On a side note, this summer my sister and I decided to step up our game and dress cute 4 out of 5 days during our work week, thank you pinterest!  I am trying to accessorize more and put together perfect little outfits....only to find out that I am not a size 2 and the outfit doesn't look the same on fat bottom girls make the world go round....I kid I kid, no but seriously the outfits don't look the same!  So I am also doing Weight Watchers AGAIN, hopefully this time I won't fall face first into a plate of stuffed french toast sprinkled in powdered sugar and fresh strawberries....see this is the fat girl that is dying for sweets!! Did I mention that my sister and I gave up sweets for 30 days, you know just for the h e double hockey sticks, no for weight loss but I am dying.  I am in love with sweets almost as much as I am in love with my husband.  I must commend my husband because he hasn't had any sweets either since Aug 1, he is such a good man!  LOVE him! 

Well I better get back to work, or start working today!

Weekend Recap!!

Just this is going to a little short and sweet as I have to be up at 5:30am to get ready to head to Norman to move my awesome brother in law into his first apartment.  Zach will be so missed in Tulsa, but he will have a blast doing the actual "college" thing!!  I am so very excited for him, as I never left my hometown, I mean why would I live Stillwater...there's no better place!!  Anyways, on to the recap....Friday night, we had our friends over for a quick dinner (pinterest Taco Bake....amazing) and then headed out to Dust Bowl downtown.  It's a cute little 8 lane bowling alley set in the 70's decor.  You even have to keep your own score by hand.  I enjoyed a champagne in a can....MUST FIND!! After a few horrible fun games of bowling, we headed to The Max.  It's a 80s style bar full of arcade games.  It was so funny to see people walking around for 40s in brown paper bags...apparently it was the special!  I haven't had a 40 since I was a sophomore in high school.  By this time it was 10:30 and I was worn out from the stressful week and was move than ready for bed. 
Saturday I got to sleep in until 9:30, then did a little house cleaning and relaxed.  We had a wedding to attend in the evening, so I got to get pretty and dress up!!  Love that!  The wedding was pretty and we had a great time for our awesome friends!! 
Today, we got up early and headed to church, as we have missed a couple weeks due to sickness, out of town and such.  It was such a treat to see my sweetest cousin in law, Makenzie.  She holds a special place in my heart because she is a Cowboy!!!  We are so close.  I can't wait to see her every weekend for football this fall.  As we were leaving church to go have brunch, we hit something in the road and Nathan looks at me and says do you have a flat tire?  Uh, I don't know I am not driving, you are!!  Well wouldn't you know, we pull over and the tire is flat as a pancake, not even a fluffy pancake from IHOP.  UGH  So we call his parents and then turn around to come change it.  Here my poor little Honda has a donut on it....not pretty site!  So we drive all over hell Tulsa and back to find an open tire shop on Sunday....uh do places not think that people get flats on Sunday?  We finally go to Sears at the mall and wait for an hour and a half to come back to, Mrs. Roberts I am sorry but we can't repair this, you need a new tire.  Oh thank you for wasting the last hour and a half of my life.  Since my husband is a little anal about things, we are waiting to get a matching tire from the tire shop that I use regularly.  Well now that has to wait until Tuesday, since I took tomorrow off at the last minute to help out with the move. 
Did I say it was going to be short, my bad!  Welp, I do have some good news, if you are still here reading this....I WILL BE POSTING WEDDING PICTURES THIS WEEK!!!  We got our cds in and we will be loading them onto mpix to order and here for all 8 of you to see!!
